Carmelita
D. Nichols is the eldest daughter of six
siblings to the late Dr. James E. Nichols, Sr.,
and Overseer Constance V. Nichols-Stormer, Ph.D.
She is a mother of five young adults and grandmother
of six. Carmelita Nichols is baptized in Jesus Name
and received the precious gift of the Holy Ghost
evidenced by speaking in tongues as the Spirit of
God gives utterance.
Carmelita D. Nichols’ religious affiliations envelop
a wide-range of positions. Some of the positions
in her local assembly are Pastor of Prayer Tabernacle
Apostolic Church located in the City of Oakland,
California. She held the office of Assistant Pastor
for six years before becoming pastor. She was the
initiator of Church School (Sunday School) and held
the offices of Superintendent, President of the
Missionary Department, Pastoral Secretary and member
of the Trustee Board.
Regionally, Carmelita D. Nichols was the Regional
Evangelist of the World Assemblies of Restoration
(WAR) for the Western Region Diocese and President
of the Ministering Alliance, which she initiated
and structured. She was appointed Chair of the Spring
and Winter Conferences by the Regional Bishop, Dr.
Nelson Jones for the Western Region Diocese. She
is an ordained Evangelist and licensed through the
World Assemblies of Restoration (WAR); headquartered
in Baltimore, Maryland.
Internationally she is Assistant General Secretary
of WAR, holds the position of District Superintendent,
consultant for the Christian Education Department
of WAR and was appointed Co-chair of the International
Evangelist and Church Extension Department.
Dr. Carmelita Nichols holds a BA in Theology and
Christian Counseling, Masters in Christian Education
& Church Administration and a Doctorate in Divinity
from the "International University of Grace
and Truth," graduating, Suma Cum Laude in her
class.
With her many accomplishments she is also a published
author of poetry. She held the position of Dean
of Administration and Academics for the "Dr.
James E. Nichols Institute," in Oakland during
its operation as well as Instructor.
Dr. Nichols is an anointed teacher and preacher
whom God has endowed with many other gifts to minister
and serve His people near and far.
