Carmelita D. Nichols is the eldest daughter of six siblings to the late Dr. James E. Nichols, Sr., and Overseer Constance V. Nichols-Stormer, Ph.D.; a mother of five, currently a grandmother of eight. 

Dr. Carmelita Nichols was baptized in the precious name of Jesus and spoke in tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance on November 22, 1963.

Dr. Carmelita Nichols is ordained and the senior pastor of Macedonia House of Prayer. In October 2003 she was appointed pastor of Prayer Tabernacle Apostolic Church and remained faithful to that position until the ministry’s end.

Her affiliation is with World Assemblies of Restoration headquartered out of Baltimore, Maryland where Bishop James Nelson is Founder, Prelate and Apostolic Father. She was consecrated Overseer in July of 2006 and currently holds the position of General Secretary in the organization.

In the Western Region of World Assemblies of Restoration where Bishop Nelson Jones is Regional and Diocesan Bishop she holds the position of President of Ministerial Alliance and is the overseer for the Bay Area, Utah and Seattle Washington. She currently overseer four churches in the Bay Area.

She holds a Doctorate of Divinity from the “International University of Grace and Truth.

With her many accomplishments she is also a published author.

Souls have been delivered out of the depths of depression and hopelessness with her sincere spirit of love, infectious laugh, awesome hug, praying and warring spirit, a passion for bringing into conformity the standard of holiness, gifted teaching and preaching with God’s anointing.

Through the spiritual attacks, suffering and obedience of Overseer Dr. Carmelita Nichols to the Spirit of God; He has endowed her with various Gifts of the Spirit that have caused the body of Christ to be edified, delivered, encouraged, enlighten, saved and set free where ever she travels and serves.
