Pastor Frederick W. Pitts Is the Assistant General Secretary of World Assemblies of Restoration, Inc. Pastor Pitts hails from Ohio. It is there that he obtained the foundational portion of his ever expanding ministry. He is third generation apostolic with both sets of grandparents founding churches. Both of these churches are active and vibrant in the Ohio Valley.
Zion Temple in Steubenville, Ohio is where Pastor Pitts called home. Saved as a teenager, under the Pastorate of the Late District Elder Floyd Johnson and Bishop Richard Young, Pastor Pitts has church in the very fibers of his being. His grandparents, his parents, and the Pastors that he served under were all very influential in his early years. Youth Chairman, musician, adjutant, choir director, Men’s Chairman, Trustee, Associate Minister, Pastoral Assistant, Business Manager and Administrator are just some of the roles and responsibilities that Pastor Pitts fulfilled during his tenure locally at Zion Temple. Zion Temple was a part of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc. Pastor Pitts also served the PA of W. in numerous capacities. He was Chairman of the Ohio Valley District Youth Department, Vice-Chairman of the Ohio Valley District Brotherhood, Ohio District Council Youth Department Treasurer, Regional Director of Evangelism, National Sunday School Teacher, and Evangelized nationally.
Pastor Pitts received his formal education from Buckeye North High School and went on to Bethany College in Bethany, W.va. It was there that he majored in Communications, Religious Studies and Sociology. After completing his studies at Bethany, he also studied at Zion Bible College for Christian Counseling and Biblical Studies.
In 1989 Pastor Pitts followed the leading of the Lord and moved to Baltimore, Maryland. It is here that he became acquainted with Bishop James D. Nelson, Sr. Bishop Nelson continued to groom Pastor Pitts and appointed him as Business Manager. During the next several years in Baltimore, Pastor Pitts had the privilege of working under the auspices of some great men; Bishop Jerome Stokes, Bishop Keith Allen, Bishop William Barnes and just before venturing out to Pastor, Bishop James D. Nelson, Sr. for a second time. During these tenures, Pastor Pitts stayed in constant service for the Lord. He has served as adjutant, Associate Pastor, media specialist/Broadcast engineer, Director of Outreach, various auxiliary chairs, and Corporate Administrator for the Churches of God in Christ Jesus, Apostolic, Inc.
Finally, in 2002, after returning to Greater Bethlehem Temple, Pastor Pitts founded and opened Center for Christian Development in Brooklyn, Maryland. Through struggles and victories, challenges and deliverances, the Lord showed his hand upon Pastor Pitts and the souls that were a part of that ministry. Pastor Pitts also had the opportunity to Co-Pastor New Vision for Life Ministry along with its founder, Pastor Etta Banks.
Pastor Pitts is committed to following the Lord’s voice. In doing so, the latter years have led him and many of those that were associated with his ministry, to join themselves to the Inner Court Ministries of Maryland, Inc. Bishop Jonathan Wallace, Sr. is the Pastor. Pastor Pitts is a part of the Pastoral staff as Associate Pastor-at-Large. He serves as Chief Adjutant and lends himself to whatever the ministry calls him to do.
Pastor Pitts is accomplished in the areas of Non-Profit Corporations and development. He is also in the process of publishing his first book for Discipleship Training.
