Janice
Briley was born on January 5th in
St. Louis, Missouri to James and Bessie Nelson.
She moved with her parents to Maryland where she
received her formal education in both Howard County
and Baltimore City. She is a graduate of Coppin
State College and holds a Bachelor of Science degree
in Applied Psychology. She has also completed some
of her graduate studies and is certified in early
childhood education.
Proverbs 22:6 says, Train a child in the way he
should go, and when he is old he will not turn from
it. Sister Briley is proof of God’s keeping power.
Janice was baptized and received the Holy Ghost
at an early age under the pastorate of the late
Pastor Grace White. When her father, Bishop Nelson
was called to pastor Janice became a member of Greater
Bethlehem Temple. She has served in many capacities
since her youth and has gained much from her experiences.
She is an ordained evangelist and the Assistant
General Administrator for WAR, a position that began
by simply “doing what her hands found to do”. In
addition she heads the Hospitality Ministry for
WAR. It is her goal to help everyone feel welcome
when they attend WAR events. She is a woman who
truly loves the Lord and desires to be a blessing
in the Kingdom.
In 1990 she married Wm. Sidney Briley and they
have three children, Ja’Nelle, Sidney Jr. and Joi.
In 2002 her husband, Eld. Sidney Briley was elevated
to the pastorate of Macedonia Apostolic Faith Church,
soon to be New Harvest Deliverance Ministries. She
works diligently with him in the ministry. Together
they are walking in the favor of God healing the
wounded, bringing hope to those in despair, and
looking to do a great work in kingdom building in
the Baltimore area.
