Elder James Foye Jr. was Baptized in the name of Jesus and filled with the Holy Ghost at the tender age of 13, under the leadership of the The Greater Emmanuel Temple Church of Buffalo New York founder/Pastor, the late Bishop William Crossley. It was at this age that he began to perfect the musical gift that God had gifted him with and he was placed in the position of Co- minister of music for the Greater Emmanuel Temple Church. Under this role he served the Praise and worship services, the variety of choirs under the ministry and The Greater Emmanuel Temple Church of Niagara Falls New York.

In the year of 1979 his life was transition into the destiny that God ordained for him. God moved on the then Choir Directress of the Greater Emmanuel Temple Church Sister Jacqueline Foye (who was the mother of Elder. Foye) to build God a house. This leading of God caused him to separate from the only Church he had ever known to that point in his life into the birthing of his current home The Greater Apostolic House of Prayer under the leadership of Overseer Jacqueline Foye.

In June of 1980 Elder Foye received his calling from God to Preach the Word in Season and out of Season. It was at this time that he dedicated his life to fulfilling the call that was placed upon him. In 1985 he was licensed and ordained an Elder by the late Bishop Joseph Wiley Sr., founder and Paster of Mount Calvary Churches of Goldsboro North Carolina.

In May of 1990 Elder Foye married his bride Evangelist Phyllis (Bethea) Foye of then Washington DC and he relocated to Washington DC where they sat under the leadership and instruction of Bishop John T Leslie Jr. pastor of the Church of Jesus Christ. Under the leadership of Bishop Leslie he gained the insight and the tools he needed to begin to perfect his ministry. Elder Foye relocated his family back to the Buffalo area to assist his mother Overseer Jacqueline Foye in the ministry.

In the year of 1995 he was elevated to the position of Assistant Pastor; he was consecrated and installed into this position by Bishop John T Leslie Jr. Pastor of Church of Jesus Christ of Washington Dc. He attended and finished Jesus the Liberator seminary school where he further his training for the ministry.

Elder Foye currently serves as the General Treasurer of World Assemblies of Restoration. Professionally he is vice-president and branch manager for Key Bank NA of Buffalo New York where he manages a portfolio of over $15 M dollars. He actively sits on numerous boards and community based organizations in the Western New York area assisting in financial management.

Elder Foye is blessed to have by his side his bride of 15 years Evangelist Phyllis (Bethea) Foye . The Lord has blessed them to travel together throughout the United States and Canada preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. From this union they are blessed to have two children: James (Jay) Foye III and Jasmine (Jazzy) Foye.
