Jonathan
Wallace is a native son of Baltimore,
Maryland and is the seventh of thirteen children
born to the union of the late Bishop Alfred Wallace,
Sr. and Mother Mary L. Wallace.
Jonathan received his formative education in the
Baltimore City Public School System. Because of
his outstanding academic prowess, he was awarded
a scholarship to attend the prestigious Stoney Brook
High School in Stoney Brook, New York. After graduating
from Stoney Brook, Jonathan took his educational
endeavors to Morgan State University, located in
Baltimore, Maryland.
On June 7, 1979, Jonathan
was united in Holy matrimony to Ms. Bessie Lee Garnett.
They currently reside in Baltimore County and have
four lovely children: Denise, Sophia, Jennifer and
Jonathan, Jr., one grandson, Eddie and one granddaughter,
Ajia.
In May of 1980, Jonathan
was baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ
and was filled with the Holy Ghost. A few years
later, he felt the ministry call upon his life,
delivered his initial sermon, and began his studies
as one aspiring for the preaching and teaching ministry.
After three years of dedicated service and spiritual
growth, Minister Wallace was ordained into the pulpit
ministry. Because of his faithfulness and God’s
divine plan, Minister Wallace was elevated to the
office of Elder, and in 1990 he received the mantle
to pastor the Full Gospel Apostolic Church.
On Sunday, July 14, 1995, Pastor
Wallace was consecrated Bishop in the World
Assemblies of Restoration (W.A.R.). Subsequently,
on Sunday, July 27, 1997, Bishop Wallace was consecrated
First Assistant Presiding Prelate of W.A.R.
Pastor Wallace also attended The Baltimore Hebrew
University, Hampton University, The Bethel Bible
Institute and The International Apostolic College
of Grace and Truth. After years of study and completed
coursework, Bishop Wallace received his Bachelor
of Christian Education Degree and Master of Theology
degree. On Saturday, July 26, 1997, he received
his Doctorate in Theology (D.Th.).
Currently, Pastor Wallace is
working toward his Doctorate of Divinity
Degree. Bishop Wallace has served his church with
distinction. It is noteworthy that his current service
in the Pastorate was the culmination of several
years of servant-hood in various positions within
the Full Gospel assembly. Not only has he served
The Full Gospel Apostolic Church, but he has also
served as requested in several capacities at various
ministries across the State and the Nation.
Bishop Wallace is a visionary. In October of 2001,
God gave Bishop Wallace the vision to change the
name of the ministry from the Full Gospel Apostolic
Church of Jesus Christ to the Inner Court Ministries.
This name change reflected God’s will that this
ministry reach for higher heights in Him. God has
allowed Bishop Wallace to glimpse the destiny of
the progressive church. With his heightened spiritual
consciousness, Bishop Wallace has as his focus,
excellence in ministry to God, individual spiritual
maturity, corporate spiritual prosperity for the
congregation he is called to serve, and a desire
to see all the lost of this world saved.
